Unofficial Guide to Amazon's Wireless Reading Device

Kindle Life

Traveling With Your Amazon Kindle -

No doubt about it, you will love taking your Kindle on your next vacation or business trip. Relaxing by the beach or down-time in the airport or an airplane is a great time to catch-up on your favorite book, blog, or news paper.

Here are a couple of tips to consider when traveling -

Bring along a charger - either your Kindle's charger - or - if you have an iGo, then the right power tip for this convenient charger. If you don't have an iGo consider one. You can power your laptop computer and charge your Kindle, BlackBerry, or just about any other portable electronic device you might own.

Don't forget your book lamp - The overhead lamp at your airplane seat is OK, but the new book lamps are brighter and offer better contrast and a better reading experience. They are compact and battery powered so they are easy to pack in your carry-on bag.

Consider a protective case for your Kindle - You've got a pretty big investment there in your hands. If you're going to the beach or bringing your Kindle along on other outdoor activities you'll want to consider a protective case to keep sand, snow, and dirt out of your Kindle. You'll also want to protect the screen from potential damage.

If you're traveling outside the U.S. - Don't forget that your Kindle wireless service will not be available. You can still purchase books from Amazon's site and load them onto your Kindle via the USB port.
