While the Kindle provide significant on-board storage for your e-books (it can hold almost 200 text-based e-books) you will want to add extra SD Storage Card memory for -

• More e-books
• Music (.mp3 files)
• Audio Books (i.e. from Audible.com)

Step 1 - Unplug your Kindle from its charger

It's important that your Kindle is disconnected from it's charger before you attempt to install additional memory. If you don't do this you risk damaging the SD memory card or even your Kindle.
